Background:  Born into a military family, I spent the first years of my life traveling and living in such places as Turkey, Holland, Germany and many cities in the United States. My father had a keen interest in art; therefore, I developed an apprecitation and interest in art early on.

I graduated from the University of Virginia Business SChool but took electives in art. While working in the corporate world for 15 years as anAdministrative and Facility Manager, I had the opportunity to promote original art in the workplace. I continued to take classesin art throughtout my career.

Years later, Ientered the field of education and became an Art Teacher for middle school students. I moved to Olympia from Virginia 4 years ago and have had the luxury of attending classes at The Evergreen StateCollege to continue my interest inArt, including studing Renaissance Art in Florence, Italy.
