Art Photography

Derrick Stenson was born in 1968, in California. At an early age he showed a love of creating,

building, and expressing himself through hobbies and art.

His major influences are artists such as Edward Van Halen, David Bowie, and Ansel Adams, as

well as his personal hero, Albert Einstein. It is their ability to see music, art, nature’s beauty, and

the whole of the universe in ways no one before them ever had that inspires Derrick to look for

a different way to see the world we live in.

It was 15 years ago that photography became more than a sometimes hobby, and more of a

love. Rather than making something new, he found he loves to show a different perspective of

every day objects.

In his words, “We are surrounded by worlds of colors, textures, and shapes that are passed

over, or taken for granted. I love to bring those seemingly ordinary moments into focus in a way

that shows how beautiful those worlds are.”
