In this workshop, students will be prompted to approach the creative process through experimentation, play, and reconfiguration. Taking inspiration from spring flowers, students will cut, tear, and paste layers of colorful papers on canvas using various prompts. Students will be encouraged to create with loose combinations of both acrylic painting and collage. Each student will create beautiful completely unique collages. In this playful, fun, and explorative class, Suzana and Nancy will guide you in simplifying the subject matter, creating interesting compositions, and making harmonious color choices.

All materials will be supplied, but students are welcome to bring in their own collage papers to recycle into their pieces if they desire.
