About the event
From Matisse to Your Own Mixed Media Interpretation
Join us for a two-day mixed media workshop inspired by Henri Matisse’s bold colors, expressive shapes, and decorative patterns.
We’ll begin with a famous artwork as inspiration, then transform those ideas through collage, acrylic paint, and your own creative voice. Participants are encouraged to bring a personal photo reference, such as a favorite scene from home, an interior, landscape, or other image they would like to incorporate into their artwork.
